Stories from the Nebraska Board of Engineers and Architects
Speaker: Melinda E. Pearson, AIA. Melinda Pearson is the new Executive Director of the Nebraska Board of Architects and Engineers. (She replaced Charles Nelson who retired.) She has moved into this role after 10 years experience as a board member. Ms Pearson also ran her own architectural firm for 20 years while being on the board.

Topic Overview: Ms. Pearson will speak on the work of the board, the laws, and, of course, the all-important continuing educational credits. Her presentation will include many anecdotal stories covering her years on the board prior to becoming the executive director. These stories will focus the odd and interesting actions by professionals that have that have drawn board attention. Some time will be devoted to reviewing how the continuing education program is working, the evaluation of the credits, and the effect the program has had on engineering in Nebraska. Part of the presentation will be a 7-minute video.
