Engineer's Roundtable Banquet
"New Trends in Urban Planning"

Speaker: Marty Shukert. FAICP, is a principal of RDG Planning & Design. Before entering the private sector, Mr. Shukert served as Director of the City of Omaha's Community Development and Planning Departments and was involved in a number of major downtown and neighborhood development projects including Omaha's riverfront redevelopment and downtown housing programs. His private practice covers the Midwest region including work with cities and towns in Nebraska, Iowa, South Dakota, North Dakota, Missouri, Kansas, Michigan, Wyoming, and Oklahoma, with specializations in urban design; comprehensive planning; and trails, transportation, housing, and downtown and special district planning. Marty received a B.A. in city planning from Yale University in 1971 and a Masters of Architecture degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 1974.
