OPPD’s 345kV Nebraska City Station Unit 2 Transmission Line

Speakers: Kent M. Herzog and Gregory S. Givens: Kent Herzog P.E. earned his BSEE from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2000 and his MBA from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2004. Mr. Herzog has been employed with OPPD since 2000 in the positions of Distribution Planning Engineer, Transmission Planning Engineer, T&D Project Manager, and his present position of Supervisor, Transmission Engineering. Kent is a Project Management Professional, is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Nebraska, and is a member of IEEE.
Greg Givens has worked in Transmission Engineering at OPPD since 1976. His positions have included Transmission Engineering Surveyor, Construction Inspector, and his present position of Construction Manager.

Topic Overview: OPPD’s 345kV Nebraska City Station Unit 2 Transmission Line is approximately 50 miles in length and connects the Nebraska City Generating Station to a Lincoln Electric System substation located in Southeast Lincoln, Nebraska. The line is currently under construction with completion planned for June of 2008. The presenters will discuss all aspects of the transmission line from inception through the current stages of construction.
