State of the State in Telecom, Legislation, Developments and Regulation
Speakers: Anne Boyle and Gene Hand: Commissioner Anne Boyle is PSC Commissioner for District 2. She was elected to the Commission in November 1996. She serves on the Boards of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners and the North American Numbering Council. At NARUC, she serves on the Telecommunications and the Consumer Affairs Committees. In December, 2006, she was appointed by FCC Chairman Kevin Martin to the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) which oversees over $4 Billion annually to high cost carriers, schools and libraries and telehealth. Gene Hand is Director of Communications for the Nebraska Public Service Commission. Gene has served as PSC Communications Director for 30 years. He is a graduate Electrical Engineer of UNL, 1973.
