DC Fly-In Concerning IEEE-USA Position on Current Visa and Immigration Issues

Speaker: John Benefiel, P.E.: John Benefiel, P.E. has a background in product design and development, product management and marketing, and systems engineering. His experience covers electrical and mechanical products, power systems, communications, manufacturing technologies, strategic marketing and quality systems. John has an MBA from Rockhust University, a MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Missouri, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Kansas State University. He currently sits on the board of directors for the Nebraska Center for Excellence in Electronics.

Topic Overview: IEEE-USA conducts lobbying activities in conjunction with IEEE members in Washington D.C. during the annual Fly-In. John Benefiel participated in 2008 and will present the IEEE-USA position on current visa and immigration issues, how they affect the engineering community, and the experience of lobbying members of the U.S. legislature. This type of legislation will affect all engineering jobs in the US.
