2009 Digital TV Conversion

Speaker: Warren Behrens, Chief Engineer for KETV: Warren Behrens is a graduate Electronics Engineering Technology from Gateway Collage, 1979. He started work with KETV in June of 1975 as a part time technician, operated camera, audio, video tape, master control, and electronic news gathering (ENG), was night engineering supervisor for 6 years, and Assistant Chief Engineer for 12 years. Warren oversaw the KETV upgrade to HDTV.

Topic Overview: Warren Behrens will present a factual presentation of the the FCC mandated transition to digital TV: What the mandates really require; What TV stations are doing to be in compliance; How this will affect users. Mr. Behrens will also be presenting the major changes KETV has gone through to be in compliance. This is an outstanding presentation.
